A little bit more about me, Liz Sharpe, my experience and motivations.
Who is Liz Sharpe? I am A Counsellor, Hypnotherapist, Mental Health and Well-Being specialist, Psy TaP and BWRT® practitioner…. and I’m PASSIONATE about all of it! With 20 years experience in supporting people, I use these therapies to help you resolve issues and difficulties in your life helping you LIVE YOUR LIFE to the fullest.
I am a CNHC registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Therapeutic Counsellor and BWRT® Practitioner (I trained with Terence Watts). I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register, follow the Code of Ethics for the British Brainworking Research Society and hold a clear DBS check, plus full indemnity insurance. You are welcome to see my certificates or testimonials at any time.
With my background in BWRT® , counselling, hypnotherapy and psychology, I have worked with people since 1995. My main field of work is supporting people who have a range of mental health problems and addictions. I often work with people who may need to see a psychiatrist – however 1 in 4 of us will experience a low level glitch with our mental health at some stage in our lives. Stressful life events and circumstances can leave you feeling anxious and vulnerable. I work with feelings and emotions to help you get your life back on track by helping you find your confidence and take action. I am empathic and non judgemental in my approach.
I only do things that I believe in – my experiences of personal hypnotherapy made me want to learn more because I couldn’t understand how someone talking to me when I was in a relaxed state could change my behaviours and thought processes. My experiences of BWRT® is that it is revolutionary. So many people are experiencing rapid change to long standing issues and behaviours.
I use my listening skills in helping you to identify the problems and your own solutions. If life is causing you a lot of stress and worry, then understanding the causes to that is important.
And where does psychology come in….. Your beliefs, thoughts, emotions and behaviours all impact on you and the outside world. For every action, there is a reaction. For every behaviour, there is a consequence. Lets turn the reactions and consequences into positive experiences. Giving up smoking will mean you have more money in your pocket. Understanding what made you angry means you will be able to handle difficult situations better. Managing your anxiety will enable you to enjoy parts of life that you haven’t enjoyed before. Bring positive change into your life and live the life you want….
I follow the code of ethics for the CNHC and GHR and work with integrity. I promise that you will be supported in a safe and professional environment and that together, we will help you create the life you want to live. Therapeutic techniques can quickly help you iron out issues that may have affected you for a long time. You don’t need to live with the fear and phobia, or behave in a way – just because you have always been that way. If I don’t feel that I can help you with my approach, then I will be happy to suggest other types of therapies that may be beneficial. However – I will say that BWRT and hypnotherapy has been evidenced to help a lot of people with smoking cessation, weight management, addictions, healthy living, anxiety, stress and depression, fears, phobias and habits. Before seeing ANY therapist for a physical health issue, see your GP and check that there isn’t an underlying issue.
Registered through the CNHC – I work in partnership with health and social care. Hypnotherapy is recognised by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. CNHC maintains the Accredited Register for the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. Registration with CNHC and GHR indicates that I have received accredited training to the gold standard for hypnotherapy.
